GIS background maps:

1. Satellite background map, derived from LANDSAT 7 panchromatic band at 15 m resolution.
2. DEM at 1 km resolution, derived from the USGS global 30 arc second GTOPO30 data set;

While the satellite image is primarily used as a geographical background and reference for all georeferenced data and model results, the DEM is used in the calculations (both meteorology and air quality) as input data set.
