WaterWare Release 5.1 is a minor update release based on
Release 5.0.
In addition to a number of bug fixes (please consult the
on-line PROBLEM REPORTING SYSTEM
for an overview) the following new features are available in R5.1:
- A new improved network display indicating the node coordinates:
The name of the node is drawn in a small box if the mouse is moved on
top of a Node symbol in the river graph.
- Graphical node positioning and reach definition:
A user can now set the position in grid coordinates of a node through a graphical interface.
While viewing the specific settings of an individual node the EDIT-button above the image
of the river network become active and opens a popup window viewing a larger version of
the graph. A circle around the node marks the current node position. The new position of that
node can be set by moving the red dot ontop of the graph to the new position of taht node
and pressing the SAVE button.
- REACH Editor:
In the "add reach" - function a graphical component has been added now as well. In addition
to the selection of head and tail nodes through it's name, it is possible to select them by clicking
on a node in the graphical representation of the river network. A red circle is drawn around the
selected had node, a green circle marks the selected tail node. Pressing save will make the
selection permanent and draw the reach.
- SPILL scenarios are re-implemented independently of WRM scenarios;
- RRM re-implementation: the rainfall-runoff model has been re-implemented to
use Descriptors and the Java based editor for its parameter editing.
This provide a built-in explanation for every parameter, as well as optional
default valuess and a symbolic definition as well as
allowable ranges to simplify editing a scenario.
As an ASP companion product, the automatic calibration system RRMCAL
can now import RRM scenarios for calibration, and export RRM scenarios
for further analysis with the RRM system.
