The discrete multi-criteria DSS acts as a post-processor of the basic optimization tool,
that generates large sets of alternatives by analysing that set and supporting the selection of a "best" alternative.
From the set of feaisble alternatives (meeting all constraints), feasible subset is extracted;
The alternatives can then be ranked by any one of the criteria computed, and individual alternatives 9from that ranking)
extracted for display and analysis..
The final step plots and analysis the entire feasible set, ca;cul;ates the non-dominated subset (pareto optimal) based
on interactive selection of the criteria to be used, and optional constraints on each of the criteria.
The "optimal" solution/alternative is the one nearest (in a geometry based on normalizing the
criteria from NADIR(0) to UTOPIA (100)) to UTOPIA (a reference point the user can move).
