Genoa: Climate

The city has a mild Mediterranean climate. The region's mild climate favours the intensive cultivation of flowers, fruit and vegetables, vines and olive groves.

This is a characteristic which makes Genoa a place to visit at any time throughout the year: in the winter, when rain is rare and the clear days make it possible to stay out late; or in the summer, when there is a slight breeze to mitigate the summer heat. Vegetation offers a range of Mediterranean or even "exotic" plants and trees as clusterpines, agaves, and palms.
