WRM web version: Geometry Nodes
A WRM network can include any number of geometry or auxiliary nodes.
They are simply enumerated, integrated in the network connectivity,
and have no further attributes or data
associated with them.
Two different types are supported:
The role of geometry nodes can be:
- Geometry node, generic - used to modify the shape of the network (diagram) or GIS display;
- Geometry node, new reach - starts a new reach with new reach data, relevant for
routing, and possible groundwater interaction.
- To structure the network in several reaches of different geometry,
affecting in-channel storage and the routing;
- To provide auxiliary points to improve the shape of the river network.
