The pollution load ot spill can be defined in terms of
total mass released (in kg)
OR, alternatively as
initial flux (in kg/h)
Please not that only one of these two concepts can be selected and set by the user,
the respective other will be computed from this and the other specifications below:
total duration of the spill in hours;
timing: the start of a decline in the spill flux, assuming a constant initial part up to that point
in time (expressed as hours);
pattern: the decline type (linear or exponential).
The resulting spill pattern over time ( a time series of pollutant added each simulation time step)
is shown as a graph in the spill pattern editor
upon pressing the UPDATE button in the upper left corner.
