RiverBasinObject: Wells
Wells are describing individual wells or well fields in terms of
their hydraulic, geological, and chemical properties.
They are primarily described by their HEADER and the
hypertext description and imagery.
Attributes are grouped into topics and shown in pop-up windows
that are triggered by BUTTONS.
They include:
- Admin owner, and permit/licensing information;
- Hydrologyflow/yield;
- Construction basic design parameters;
- Geology description of Lithology (basic geology, drill cores);
- Pump Tests data on well pump tests (multiple);
- Chemistry water quality, analysis of samples taken (multiple);
- Links to other objects:
please note that all wells should be linked to an
aquifer object at least.
Another optional link is to the time series of pumping or discharge data.
Pump test
A relational table of TESTs and test results
(see: pumptest.html for recommended test procedures):
- Date of test
- Person in charge
- Test - Method
- Test - Time
- Test - Duration (in minutes)
- Test - Yield
- Water Level - Static, beginning of test
- Water Level - End of test
- Amount of Drawdown (in meter)
- Pump - Model
- Pump - Type
- Pump - Horsepower Rating
- Depth of pump (in meter)
- Depth of receiver (in meter)
- Pipe - Length
- Pipe - Diameter
- Pipe - Stem Depth
- Pipe - Type
Chemistry
A relational (foreign key: OBJECT_ID) TABLE that includes multiple sets of measurements
associated with the well:
Field data:
- Time and date samples taken
- Water level
- Well depth (m) at which sample was taken
- Water Temperature when taken
- Total Alkalinity
