Irrigation objects are describing irrigation schemes or districts. The primary information relates to location, extent and water demands, but also return flow and its quality.

An irrigation district is represented by a DEMAND NODE sub-type.

They are primarily described by their HEADER and the hypertext description and imagery.

Attributes are grouped into topics and shown in pop-up windows that are triggered by BUTTONS.
They include:

1. Admin owner/operators, consortia, etc.
2. GIS optional link to detailed maps and plans.
3. Operations describing irrigation technology and infrastructure such as canals, local storage capacity, but also the legal and regulatory framework such as water rights and allocation rules;
4. Crops crops planted, their shares, crop physiological data;
5. Demand summary of water demand, linking to possible IWD model scenarios, historical records.
6. Economics cost and benefit data (investment and operating costs, sales and market prices).
7. Links to other objects: Please note that an irrigation district should be linked to a source of water, a river reach, well, or reservoir.
