WaterWare Stakeholders:   Water Resources Institutions

WaterWare includes data bases for institutions and individuals in support of the participatory optimization and DSS strategy, and to manage and coordinate diverse user groups and contacts with and between them, including participants in training courses and users of the on-line distance learning tools.

Stakeholder Institutions and individual users or participants of training courses can be registered on-line. Related features include the management of user data, student course and test information, and a several questionnaires on water related issues for the various case studies. The latter also links to the River Basin Data Base that manages the background information on the individual river basin and WaterWare case studies.

Institutions data base
The institutions data base consists of a main selection page that lists (and sorts) all entries by name, acronym, type of institutions, and the country. All sorting can be selected for ascenading or descending lexicographical order.

The listing leads to the display of individual institutional data sets. The page also includes a button "NEW" to create an new entry starting from an empty template. The creation of a new entry is also possible for the shared user "guest".

However, since guests share an account and can thus overwrite other guest entries, we recommend to first register as a new user at the registration page (see below) to obtain a named account which will protect any further entries from being accidentally overwritten.

Institutional profiles include basic data and classification, address and contact/communication information, description and mission statement, a log of interactions, and a contact person reference.

A simple analysis tools shows the degree of completeness in terms of information provided for the individual data fields by country to monitor the development of the data base.

For the individual entries, there is also a print version available. This can either generate an on screen report to be printed locally, or it can be downloaded as a simple TXT file for local processing.
