Hazardous Chemicals

Technological risk assessment requires information about hazardous substances. This is used either for the information of emergency management personnel, or in direct connection to simulation models that require physical chemical, and toxicological information.

In HITERM, the hazardous substances data required will be supplied by a built-in hazardous substances data base, built from a number of public domain sources such as the US-EPA and various www archives and freely accessible data bases as well as the technical literature. Some examples (matching the list of hazardous substances that will be used in the Portuguese case study and for which Petrogal is providing the MSDS):
