SIS-1: Interactive simulation of the management of a multi-purpose reservoir

DESCRIPTION

This program allows an interactive simulation of a reservoir or regulated lake management for multiple uses. It simulates the effects of a user defined control policy that determines a daily release on the basis of the reservoir level. Users are modelled in simple physical terms such as the maximum water level that does not damage riverine inhabitants or required daily flows for agricultural or hydroelectric production. Control policies are determined using a mean performance criteria or a risk-aversion criteria, which minimize damages under adverse conditions.

Keywords
