PLUVUE II: Plume Visibility Model

DESCRIPTION

PLUVUE II is a single point source air pollution model developed to evaluate the visibility reduction due to a plume of sulphur or nitrogen oxides in an urban environment. It is based on the gaussian solution of the transport and diffusion equation, but can take into account deposition and certain chemical reactions.

Keywords

description: air quality, gaussian plume, visibility reduction
objectives: simulation
application: single point sources, urban environment, sulphur oxides, nitrogen oxides, short term
