Bombay,
Bombay, the capital of Maharashtra State, which has recently been renamed to its ancient Marathi name of Mumbai, is the largest metropolis in India. As is true of every one of the world's major cities, the inhabitants of Bombay come in all types. Bombay is home to some of the wealthiest people in the country, who live in mansions. It is also home to hundreds of thousands of the very poorest people who live in the city's slums under the most unhygienic conditions. This is how the city of roughly 13 million people is India's most cosmopolitan centre. It is the main destination for incoming international flights as well as the biggest port in India, and as of such, undergoes the most foreign trade in the country. It is also known as the `Industrial Capital of India'. As Bombay houses India's film industry which produces the maximum number of motion pictures in the world every year, therefore known as the `Hollywood of India'. Besides all this Bombay is crowned as the 5th most polluted city in the world. Objectives: The main
objective of this project is to contribute towards the effective planning
and management of natural resources of the region. It aims to develop an
