Color Icon Summary:   Tuberculosis is one of the most ancient of human plagues, having been present in humans in prehistoric times. Due to the achievements of modern medicine, tuberculosis was on a steady decline since the beginning of this century. However, since the early 1990's, an alarming increase in new tuberculosis cases could be observed. This trend is most visible in urban centers and has been associated with factors such as the increase in HIV infections, increasing urban poverty, and crowded living conditions.

Objectives:   The case study tries to evaluate potential measures for the control of tuberculosis in urban centers. The objective is to answer questions like :
Is there a connection between the time and frequency of the public transportation system and the spread of tuberculosis ? or
Can we predict the number of new tuberculosis cases by the year ?
