Emission inventories

Emission inventories compile all atmospheric emissions (stack data, area and line sources) for a given area (spatial domain).

These data are made available automatically to all air quality models, and the emission models that generate dynamic emission data in real time.

Locations of the emission sources are shown on the map. The emissions by substance are tabulated, with the summary values leading to the corresponding emission matrices used by some of the air quality models, and the contributions of individual source classes or economic sectors are indicated in a pie chart.

The emission inventories lead to the individual emission sources through the summary data for each emission type class. The individual emission sources can also be reached from the industrial plant they are associated with, or the overall object data base of the EMIS.
