REGOZON forecasting model:
Scenario display
When entering the REGOZON forecasting model page, a default scenario
specified in the ./defaults data file neco is loaded.
The LOAD button triggers a file selector tool, that offers all
available scenarios, including those that are pending (still being computed) or
terminated with an error message.
The display control options for a given scenario include:
- selection of the time step with the tape deck, including
the possibility of continuous animation;
- the selection of the variable to be displayed (O3 or NO2 for REGOZON);
- the selection of a vertical layer. The latter is selected by clicking on the
appropriate symbol in the layer selector.
The display of the model results uses a color coded map overlay;
the color coding of the display can be controlled with the
cell-grid controller tool.
The controller supports:
- selection of the color ramp;
- selection of display style (opaque, translucent, isolines, interpolated);
- selection of upper and lower display bounds.
In addition, the main icon menu supports:
- zooming in and out of the map display;
- connection to the BLUME monitoring data server to load monitoring data for comparison;
- pseudo 3D display of the concentration field;
- monitoring data comparison;
- GIS link for the selection of background maps layers;
- standard info and exit icons.
3D display
The 3D icon triggers the
3D display of the current concentration overlay.
The concentration value will be shown as the vertical dimension of the model result
grid, using the same color coding as in the 2D display.
Vertical positioning, exaggeration, and 3D rotation of the image
can be controlled interactively.
