Introduction to the ECOSIM Demonstrator

The ECOSIM Demonstrator Release 4.0 consists of the main ECOSIM server executable and its data directories; this program then uses http POST requests to trigger the various models from the remote model servers that run the individual simulation models.

The basic architecture and the set of simulation models available are explained in the respective ECOSIM on-line technical documents.

To install the ECOSIM Demonstrator, you need an appropriate workstation
(see: http://www.ess.co.at/ECOSIM/hwsw.html) with Internet access to connect to the remote model servers.

Since the ECOSIM Demonstrator is built using many standard ESS software components, the manual frequently refers to the AirWare User and Reference Manuals.
