Case study and function selector

Applications of ECOSIM that cover domains with one or more sub-areas or case studies use an intermediate menu level to access the various functional components at these various locations. AN example is the Athens applications, where the three models MEMO, POM, and MODFLOW cover different spatial domains.

The screen offers a map of the entire domain, with individual windows indicating the case study (sub)areas; a selector on the left offers the available functions (e.g., different models) that are applicable for the different case study areas including the entire domain.

The selection mechanism is either from the selector's list of options, or geographically from the map window. Moving the mouse pointer over either the selector list or the map will highlight both the list entry and the corresponding map window.

In addition the mandatory INFO and EXIT icons, the module supports ZOOMING in and out of the map, as well as a GIS connection for domain-level data sets.
