ATMOS:

Atmospheric Sciences Information Resource (Western Siberian Lowlands, Lake Baikal region)

	The ATMOS project, funded under the INTAS framework, aims to provide a bilingual Internet portal to the international research community, environmental managers, and the interested public. The domain covered is Atmospheric Physics and Chemistry, and the related application domain of air quality assessment and management. Atmospheric Physics and Chemistry	is the central topic, the West Siberian Lowlands and Lake Baikal the geographical scope. Themes include Atmospheric Spectroscopy, Chemistry, Aerosols, Dynamics, Radiation and Solar- Terrestrial Relationships, and the applied domains of Air Quality Assessment and Management, Modelling, and Environmental Impact Assessment.
	The region is particularily important for the global climate and climate change.
